CGX AME
Technological innovation for aeronautical information
Context and Challenges
ROMATSA must ensure the availability and reliability of flight procedures to guarantee safe and efficient national air traffic operations.
The digitalization and standardization of SID, STAR, and Approach procedures — including both conventional navigation and PBN — represent a significant technical challenge.
The SPICE project aims to deliver a digital database compliant with international standards, enabling easier management and updating of procedures.

Project Objectives
Digitalize all national flight procedures (SID, STAR, Approaches)
Encode all procedures according to the AIXM 5.1 standard
Integrate both conventional navigation and PBN procedures
Deliver a database ready for integration into national air traffic management systems
Actions Carried out by CGX AME
Procedure Analysis
Analysis and extraction of existing procedures
Digital Coding
Coding and digitalization of flight procedures in compliance with AIXM 5.1
Technical Validation
Technical validation with ROMATSA
Database Delivery
Delivery of a finalized and integrable database
Integration Support
Technical support during the integration phase
Results Achieved
Complete digitalization of all national flight procedures
Improved data quality and reliability
Reduced timelines for procedure updates
